With Christmas just around the corner, we often find ourselves indulging in all the wrong foods and drinks, late night parties and generally out of our normal routine.  It is a time when we feel more stressed than usual, more irritated and tired, so looking after our emotional and mental health is just as important as the physical so we don’t experience those dreaded “down” days in the weeks leading up to the new year. It is a time for fun and frivolity, but be gentle on yourselves. So here are my tips to see you through.

Remember to diffuse your oils – EVERYDAY

Holiday Joy reminds us of all that it’s Christmas and will help to elevate this spirits but also really beneficial for keeping all those nasty bugs at bay that walk in with your invited guests – Cassia, Cinnamon, Clove & Wild Orange will be your best friends during the holiday season. If you didn’t get the Holiday Joy, Protective Blend will also do the trick.

Holiday Peace will add a touch of relaxation and PEACE to your home with soothing oils of Vetiver, Frankincense, Douglas Fir & Grapefruit. If you didn’t get this blend, Lavender, Cedarwood, Wild Orange, Ylang ylang and Patchouli are some of my favourite calming oils.

Remember your Bergamot in times of mental, physical and emotional stress (although in the hot months, remember applying topically and then venturing into the sunlight don’t mix, so be mindful)

Lemon in your diffuser will be cleansing and uplifting. Add a drop to your water (1 drop per 250ml)

Peppermint to keep the fatigue at bay, and keep it on hand for that extra helping of trifle or Xmas pudding that you SHOULDN’T have had. Really helps with any digestive upset. Ginger is also a great oil to soothe a full tummy.

Wishing you a safe, fun and joyous Christmas and don’t forget to check back in January, when I will be helping you with detoxing for the New Year.
